While interning at Overboard Media for six months, I had the opportunity to gain hands on experience with social media and email marketing.
My primary responsibility included managing, and growing, two Instagram accounts featuring unique rental properties in different regions of America. While the number of accounts managed eventually expanded to six, I was able to organically grow our follower count by roughly 700%-800% (approximately 150-300 followers up to 1,200-1,500) for the two primary accounts. I was able to quickly learn social media best practices along with account management, engagement and growth.
One of the side projects included running three successful email campaigns on the brand's primary @michiganoverboard Instagram page. The use of Google Forms, content creation, and Instagram stories was used to gain 27 new emails to Overboard Media's email list.
